Retail scales
Trade scales are specialized electronic devices, the main function of which is the weighing of the goods and the calculation of the amount of payment when entering its price. The main distinguishing feature of such scales is the screen, which displays the weight of the goods and its price. Depending on the purpose, there are four types of scales for trade.
Counter scales
The most common are devices for trading behind the counter. They can be easily recognized by the two-way display, which displays information to both the seller and the buyer. In modern equipment for retail trade can be implemented many additional functions that greatly facilitate the work of the seller. This is the summation of several purchases, and counting the change, and accounting for the weight of the container. Many models are equipped with memory, which can make the price of the most popular products. In this case, to determine the value of some goods, just press one button. Well, especially “advanced” equipment has a report function, thanks to which at the end of the day the owner can effortlessly get accurate information about what products and how much was sold.
Scales for self-service
Supermarkets usually install specialized devices for self-service shops. This type of scales is intended for marking of goods — on them the label with indication of a product type, its weight and cost is printed. If necessary, other information can be provided: the date of sale, shelf life, bar code to be read by the scanner. Typically, such a device is connected to a computer from which it automatically receives the actual price of the goods.
Packaging scales
Special requirements for packing scales. Their main purpose — packing “dusty” and “wet” products, including meat and fish. They are used not only in shops, but also in catering establishments for portion weighing. The platform of these devices is usually made of stainless steel, and they always have high dust and moisture resistance, especially since, according to the requirements of sanitary norms, such equipment must be cleaned or washed very often.
Scales
Well, in warehouses and wholesale bases are used so-called commodity scales that can work with a weight of up to two tons. These devices often have the ability to limit, thanks to which a sound signal is given if the specified weight of the goods is typed in the container. As for weighing containers with a large volume of liquid provides for the “deduction weight”: when set to scale, the liquid in the container begins to move, and the pressure in the apparatus is constantly changing, therefore, for correct weighting is automatically done a few measurements, the results of which are averaged.
